Burnham 36, North Bristol 15

BURNHAM bounced back from last week’s one-point defeat to beat North Bristol comfortably at the BASC Ground on Saturday.

The game did not start as planned as North Bristol opened the scoring with an unconverted try and then a penalty to lead 0-8.

But Burnham went through the gears and Richard Muskett scored under the posts with Tim Piper adding the conversion.

Jordan Paul then extended that lead with a try and number eight Stuart Blake completed the first half scoring with an easy touchdown as Burnham lead 19-8 at half time.

North Bristol came back in the second half with an early converted try and things were made worse when Muskett left the field through injury.

But the match and bonus points were sealed when Tim Piper swallow dived into the corner following good work by Mike Hocking.

Captain Russell Pike added salt to North Bristol wounds in the dying minutes to wrap up a 36-15 win.

This Saturday, Burnham are away to Old Bristolians and teh coach with leave the club at 12-12.30pm.

Man of the match was Stuart Blake, sponsored by Bob Wright.
