Two podium places for Weston racer Will Burns

A JAM packed weekend of racing for local petrolhead Will Burns was successfully completed at Cadwell park in Lincolnshire resulting in two well deserved podium finishes and a competitive fifth place securing valuable championship points this weekend.

This was Wills' first visit to Cadwell park with his team HHC Motorsport and he impressed from the start with the fastest times in testing. Qualifying and all three races were scheduled for Sunday which in such competitive conditions could see anything happen as Burns was soon to find out.

Getting stuck in traffic behind some of the slower G20's he qualified in 7th and 8th respectively. In the first of the three 20 minute races Will built on pace avoiding the inevitable trouble on such a tight circuit to bring his Ginetta G40 home in a well placed third.

In the second of the races Weston-born Burns knew he had to play a tactical game to ensure a good final race starting position and he did well to finish in a well deserved third place and a second podium.
