BURNHAM 2s took on the Wyverns still trying to get another win to climb the table.
The Wyverns chose to bat after winning the toss with Jim Birkett and James Annison bowling sharply moving the ball away from the right handers.
J Rawles was the first to go caught behind by gloveman Gavin Clifton off Jim Birkett. Kieran Cosens joined Steve Pigden but Pigden clipped a ball wide of third man and called for a second run but hadn't counted on Jim Birkett's powerful arm as his 70 yard throw ran Pigden out.
Birkett and Clifton combined twice more as the keeper took two more edges from Birkett's away swing to leave the Wyverns 32-4.
Cozens and Lipscombe steadied the ship and took the Wyverns upto 70 until Birkett got a nick from Cozens, caught behind for 30.
Ed Booth had replaced Annison and bowled with some good pace and swing and troubled all the batters clean bowling Lipscombe with a beauty and then removed Dyte and Caswell quickly.
The Wyverns slumped to 84-8 but for the second week in a row Burnham fell foul of a great late partnership as Watts smashed the ball to help his team reach 160.
This now looked a tough target and Burnham very quickly collapsed to a string of poor shots, as apart from Gaylard for 13, Burnham slumped to 38-6 against the medium pace of Watts and the wily slow left arm of Cozens.
Jim Birkett and Harpreet Dhaliwal rallied to give Burnham faint hope, but when Birkett got a leading edge to mid wicket for 23, the tail then subsided quickly as Burnham finished on 76.
