CRICKET: Baker Cup Final set to be a thriller
THE 75th Baker Cup Final will be an all South Somerset affair after WEPL Premier One side Ilminster set up a clash with arch rivals Chard of WEPL Premier Two at the County Ground next Thursday.
Last night Ilminster secured their final berth with an 85 run win over holders North Petherton of Somerset League Division One.
Ilminster rattled up a testing 165-6 in their 20 overs in a match played at Taunton CC.
They were always in control of matters as Petherton – currently second in the Somerset league – could only make 80-8.
Thursday's game starts at 6pm and entry is free.
