FOOTBALL: Jamie Ward parts company with Taunton Town

Taunton Town have parted company with youth team manager Jamie Ward by mutual agreement.

Ward led the Under-18 side to the South Division title in the Somerset Floodlight Youth League last season but a new manager will be appointed for the team’s forthcoming campaign in the Premier Division.

A club spokesman said: “The club thank Jamie for his efforts and success with the Under-18 team last season. “However, following discussions, some differences have arisen that cannot be resolved and it was therefore mutually decided to take this course of action in the interest of both parties.”

Trials for the Under-18 team will take place on Saturday, July 21 at The Castle School Astro pitch between 10am and 2pm.
