SOMERSET Vikings were unable to do the double over Swindon as they fell to defeat at the weekend.

An early score and try put the Vikings on the back foot with Swindon taking an 18-4 lead before Craig Williams scrambled over from close range and Josh Bray converted to reduce the arrears to 18-10 at half-time.

The Vikings enjoyed their best spell early in the second half. Williams, again, and Bryan Webb, on debut, crossed the home team’s line and Bray was successful adding the extras.
