CRICKET: Another win for Bradninch Under-13s

BRADNINCH Under-13s won their second match in succession when they defeated Culmstock by 15 runs in a Bradleys East Devon Youth League game.

Josh Putt produced the game's outstanding all-round contribution with a two boundary 28 in the Bradninch total of 113-8.

Jordan Biss (11) and skipper Will Birley (10) were the other home batsmen to deliver double figure totals.

Toby Eve bowled superbly for the visitors, taking 4-13 from his four overs.

Culmstock also held four catches, one a stunner from Ryan Cobb.

Birley picked up the first three wickets of the reply before his opposite number, Alex Davidson, struck a wonderful 23 - his innings ended when he was caught by team-mate Byron Knowles while fielding as a substitute.

Davidson underpinned his side's reply that closed on 98-7.

Birley (3-17), Putt (1-8 in 4), Max Cooper, Kieran Fry and James Coles were the other home wicket takers.
