HOLDERS Blagdon Hill are due to face Wembdon in the final of the VW Taunton and district league's Seward Cup.

Wembdon beat Redgate on penalties in the semi-finals after the match finished 3-3 at the end of extra time.

Knock Out Cup Quarter Final.

Staplegrove Reserves from Division Two lost 5-0 to division one Predators who now face Brigwater Sports in the semi-final.

Scorers for Predators were Carl Jones (2), Chris Taylor, Damo Jennings and Jake Adey.

West Somerset Rose Bowl Preliminary Round Alcombe Rovers were too strong for a depleted Sampford Blues who were treating this as a minor competition and put seven Reserves players into the side to give them some experience at a higher level, Alcombe won the game 2-0 with Darren Sherring scoring both goals.

Gardner Cup Preliminary Round.

Josh Tunstall was the Bishops Lydeard Colts hero, scoring a hat-trick to give his side a 3-0 win over Creech Cougars.

Wembdon Saints Reserves beat Dulverton Town Reserves 3-2. Jack Gardner, Kyran Devvit and Ash Hunt scored for Saints while Jack Crocker and Lewis Hough replied for Town.

Gardner Cup First Round.

Halcon Utd had a convincing 6-2 home win over Sampford Blues Reserves. Gary McKiernan and Senna Clapp got a pair of goals each, Liam Willey and Stacey Oaten got the other two. Matt Holmes was the only Blues scorer, their other goal coming courtesy of a Halcon defender.

Bridgwater Grasshoppers went down 4-0 at home to Norton Fitzwarren for whom Jack Scribbins, Joe Jones, Alex O'Leary and Dom Ribero all scored.

Galmington Dragons saw off Highbridge Town Reserves with a 2-0 win, Luke Bradford and Dave Chambers getting the goals.

Appletree were far too strong for Exmoor Rangers, winning 5-0. Mark Oram got himself a hat-trick and Chris Willey scored twice.

Division One.

Staplegrove won 2-0 at second-placed Highbridge Town. Adam Smith gave them the lead before a match suffered a long delay after a Highbridge players was taken to hospital with a cruciate ligament injury. After the re-start Scott Reynolds hit a cracking shot which hit the top corner giving the keeper no chance.

Bridgwater Sports had a 4-1 home win over Locomotives for whom Bret Andrews scored.

Porlock are still looking for their first league point of the season after losing 5-0 at home to Bishops Lydeard. Martin Hawkins scored three with Joe Chamberlain and Richard Lock getting the other two.

Division Two.

Dulverton Town took advantage of a slip-up by Wembdon Saints to moved into second thanks to a 4-0 win over Watchet. On target were Lee Hooper with two, Dave Kelland and Adrian Smith.

Derek Forde got the only goal of the game for Wyvern in their 1-0 win over Westonzoyland.

Division Three.

With everybody around them playing cup football Hamilton Hawks moved up to second thanks to a 6-1 win at Minehead. Andy Clark scored twice with Andy Alwton, Rob Chambers, Tim Gibbs and Mike Clark all adding one each. Adam Smith scored Minehead's consolation.

Bishops Hull enjoyed a 4-1 home win over Sydenham Rangers both Tommy Wadham and Mike Kearley scored twice for Hull.

Williton beat Stogursey 2-0 thanks to a Matt Werbitzsky penalty and a Jay Darrell goal.

Division Four.

With leaders Milverton not playing, The Merry Monk had the chance to go top but Rhode Lane Wanderers had other ideas by beating them 4-2, Ryan Bradford and Ed Frampton scoring for Monk.

Blagdon Hill scored eight without reply at home to Alcombe Rovers Reserves. Dean Quinn was the days leading marksman with five goals while Matt Fevin, Liam Vaughan and Matt Francis all got one each.

At the bottom of the table Staplegrove Colts and Porlock Reserves shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Robbie Fitzer, Mickey Norman and Mark Gunn all scored for Porlock with Andy Ley, Andy Wallbridge and Troy Luxton doing the same for the Grove.
