THERE was no change for Burnham as they began the second half of the league season the same way they ended the first.

They conceded in the first few minutes and struggled to get a foothold in the game, finding themselves 3-0 down by half time.

Goalkeeper Emma Smith and Tracey Dunn on the line saved other goalbound efforts to help keep the score down.

The second half saw a much more spirited display and June England was close to getting on the end of a peach of a cross from Louise Peace. Sarah Johnson and Carly Bush both had shots saved from short corners and Dunn just failed to get on the end of a rebound as Burnham fought back.

But they didn’t get that luck in the final third and Chard increased their lead with two further goals to wrap up the 5-0 win.

Player of the match was Tracey Dunn.

Burnham are hoping they are back to full strength next week for their match at Minehead on Saturday.
