MATT Kippen retained the Enmore Park Club Championship with a hard fought total of 146 gross over two rounds last weekend.

He beat his brother Alex (a three-time winner of the competition) and Craig Cook by two shots. He now has the opportunity to equal his brother’s record if he can win again next year. Scott Linden won the net prize with 136 followed by Simon Acland, 137, and Will Howlett, 139.

The Enmore Park King Cup was shared by Dave Winn and Pete Prior. The competition sees players continuing after completing their round, using up the number of shots they played below handicap.

The winner is whoever gets furthest round the course after using all their extra shots, and both Dave and Pete finished in the hole on the first green.

Involving a field of 68 competitors, this year’s Junior Open Classic was a great success and was won by Harrison Greenbury (Exeter Golf & Country Club), playing off +1 handicap with a gross score of 76.
