THIS close game was a typical top-of-the-table clash, in which Morganians came out on top.

Morganians led 5-0 at half time through a Roy Grimstead try and Sam Chillingworth made it 8-0 with a penalty.

Wiveliscombe came back into the game well in the second half by scoring a penalty but Morganians were reduced to 14 men for the last ten minutes.

The home side managed to withstand heavy Wiveliscombe pressure to hold on for a deserved win.

Morganians face Chard at home on Saturday.
