YEOVIL Town boss Terry Skiverton has tried to play down suggestions that the Glovers could be aiming for a play-off spot this season in the Coca-Cola League One.
As the Glovers prepare for tonight's League One clash at Gillingham, Skiverton has told the BBC that his number one priority is to avoid relegation.
"My goals are the same as they were at the start, to secure League One status," he said.
"I've got no other plans at the moment and I don't want to talk out of turn."
And Skiverton added that a couple of wins either way could spell problems or exciting times ahead.
"This year and looking how tight it's going to be, a couple of defeats and you're looking at the bottom four and a couple of wins you're looking ahead to the play-offs," he said.
Skiverton said that Yeovil would be going for a win at Gillingham, who boast a decent home record this season, tonight.
"We always go into a game looking to win, that's the way we're moving forward and we're going to go to Gillingham and try and win their again," he said.
"They're a very good side at home. That's where they've picked up most of their points and they've got a few tricky characters such as Febian Brandy and Simeon Jackson."
