YEOVIL Town has received thank you messages from Charlton Athletic fans who braved the elements at Huish Park on Saturday.
The majority of the 1,500-strong travelling army of Addicks fans had to stand on the uncovered away end during the 1-1 Cola League One clash and got drenched as the rain poured down throughout the afternoon.
But some Charlton fans have sent messages of thanks to the Glovers in respect of the warm welcome they received.
The club's official website has said that Charlton fan Steve Driscoll said he found Yeovil Town to be a "friendly" club.
"From the lady in the ticket office who helped me secure my tickets on the Friday night to the friendliness of the people in the Marquee - I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit even though I drove back home in just my pants as every other article of clothing was thoroughly soaked," he said.
"Good luck for the rest of the season and I hope to see your fans enjoy their day at The Valley later on in the season."
Another Charlton fan, Ian Cartwright, added: "Just a quick note to extend my grateful thanks for the welcome afforded to us travelling Charlton fans on Saturday by all at Yeovil Town FC on what was certainly the wettest and windiest day that I have ever experienced in 35 years of watching football!"
