YEOVIL Town boss Terry Skiverton has said that his whole team need to be given credit rather than the usual names that grab the headlines.
Skiverton should be praised for bringing into Huish Park a number of players on loan who have starred for the Glovers in recent months.
Players like Alex McCarthy, Steven Caulker, Jon Obika, Ryan Mason and Shaun MacDonald have put in a number of superb performances for the players while on loan.
And although it is those that normally get the headlines, Skiverton has told the BBC that the Glovers have actually got some decent players at Huish Park who are contracted to the club.
"We always seem to go back to the loanees but I think I've got some very good contracted players here," he told the BBC.
"It's not just about Alex McCarthy and Caulker, Mason and MacDonald. It's just as much about JP Kalala, Terrell Forbes, Stefan Stam, Danny Hutchins and Craig Alcock.
"We're a team. We're not just a couple of people. We're a group, we're very much together and we're all very happy with the way we're moving forward as a team and a club."
But Skiverton admitted that Saturday's Coca-Cola League One draw with Charlton Athletic at Huish Park - which was played in horrendous weather conditions - would serve his loan players well in the future.
"When they finally do go on and make it in the big time, normally they'll be playing at a ground with four ends on it, so the wind doesn't affect them so much," he said.
"But it was a good test for everyone against Charlton and not just them."
