GOLF: Windwhistle trio lose out at Sidmouth
WINDWHISTLE men’s friendly team travelled to East Devon coast on August 23 to play a match against Sidmouth Golf Club.
The course was in great condition and the welcome that we received from Sidmouth was first class.
The Windwhistle team consisted of three new members — Shane Scott, Paul Davis and Shaun Potter — taking part in a match for the first time.
The overall result was a 4-2 win for Sidmouth, the two winning pairs were Dave Fletcher playing with Dave Clarke and Tim Williams playing with Shane Scott. Shane also won some golf balls for being closest to the pin in two on the seventh hole.
The mens last friendly match of 2009 is away to Bridport on Saturday, September 19.
