THE West Somerset Cricket League was also hit by the bad weather on Saturday with — like elsewhere in the region — games getting started but being brought to an early finish because of the rain.
Cannington made 103 in their Division One match with Crowcombe with Dan Rich top scoring with 47, while C. Brewer claimed 5-27 and O. Rew took 4-29.
Crowcombe had reached 32-2 before the heavens opened and the game was abandoned.
Holford were bowled out for 121 in their match with Dulverton before it was brought to a premature end, while Morebath had reached 42-2 in their game with Bridgetown.
Division One leaders Brompton Ralph hardly got started in their game before the rain came down with Roadwater on 23-0.
Division Two front-runners West Monkton maintained their winning form with a ten-wicket victory over Taunton Radiac and Outcasts.
Radiac were dismissed for 67 with Ross Buckley taking 4-8 and Nick Hutchings 4-23.
Monkton reached the winning line without losing a wicket with Pete West undefeated four runs short of his half-century.
Gus Fraser hit 47 for Winsford, but they fell to a seven-wicket defeat against Casuals.
North Newton made 227-7 in their Division Three match with Stoke St Mary with 13-year-old Cameron Street hitting an excellent 80.
But his potential match-winning innings was cruelly denied because of the weather, while P. Gardner claimed 4-47 for St Mary.
Timberscombe duo Ben Bowman and Paul Sparks were in good shape during their match with Bishops Hull.
Bowman and Sparks were undefeated on 52 and 46 respectively before the rain came with Timberscombe on 103-2.
M. Gale took 6-14 for Taunton A as Stoke St Gregory were bowled out for just 74.
Wayne Parsons hit 46 for Trull Crusaders in their Division Four game against Dulverton 2nds.
