TAUNTON golfer Hannah Grant claimed her fourth top ten finish of the season in an EWGA Order of Merit event by coming third in the Pleasington Putter at Pleasington, Lancashire.
The 21-year-old scratch player shot a two-over 76 and then a three-under 71 for a gross 147. She played brilliantly in the second round to card four birdies and only one bogey.
The result followed Grant’s victory in the Whittington Trophy at Whittington Heath, Staffordshire, in April.
The former Richard Huish College student finished ninth in the Critchley Salver at Sunningdale in May and sixth in the West of England Championship for the Harper Salver at Bath in June.
Hannah, who lives in Comeytrowe and is a member at both Enmore Park and Tiverton, will compete in the pre-qualifying round for the Ricoh Women's British Open on Monday, July 13.
If she progresses at The Berkshire she will go to final qualifying during the week of the Open, to be held at Royal Lytham and St Anne’s at the end of July.
