Home tie in FA Cup for Town

TAUNTON Town will begin their FA Cup campaign on August 29 in the preliminary round when they entertain either Bishop Sutton or Bodmin.

If they are successful in that tie then they entertain Merthyr Tydfil at home in the first qualifying round on September 12.

Taunton have been drawn away at either Stourport Swifts or Hungerford Town in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy on October 17.

Taunton, who returned to training on Tuesday, have announced details of their pre-season friendly fixtures in preparation for the start of the new season.

They are as follows: Tuesday, July 21, at 7.30pm: Keynsham Town v Taunton; Saturday, July 25, at 3pm: Taunton v Liskeard Athletic; Tuesday, July 28, at 7.30pm: Taunton v Street; Thursday, July 30, at 7.45pm: Hallen v Taunton; Saturday, August 1, at 3pm: Taunton v Saltash United; Tuesday, August 4, at 7.30pm: Taunton v Minehead.
