MINEHEAD men's good run in the Turnbull Cup came to an abrupt end in the semi-final against Taunton at Burnham, where they were soundly beaten by 45 shots to 83.
Scores: J Bates, T Jones, D Lowman, J MalE 10-22, T Everett, R Carlin, M Cresswell M Manns 9-22, D Stevens, G Murrell, j Morgan, M May7-22, M Lipscombe, J Ware, M Keough, T Aldred 19-17.
Despite a good win on one rink, Minehead A went down away to league leaders Banwell by 60 shots to 63 in Division Two of the SCBL Premier.
Scores: T Everett, M Stapleton, T Aldred, M Manns 12-20; H Smith, M Keough, J Morgan, M May 30-21, M Lipscombe, T Jones, D Lowman, J Male 18-22.
In Division Two of the SCBL, Minehead B drew 37-37 away to Donyatt B, acquiring seven points.
Scores: N Savage, D Carter, T Saunders, R Carlin 19-12; J Murrell, L Dawson, L Salisbury, J Patching 12-8; J Ford, D Veale, R Watts, N Ackland 6-17.
In the West Somerset League, Minehead A were beaten 67-41 at BCL, losing all three rinks.
