NINE-handicapper Roger Pople won the first division of the Monthly Medal at Burnham & Berrow on June 28.
His nett 67 gave him victory by two shots from David Meredith, with whom Pople and Andy Fisher shared the lowest gross score of 76.
Scoring was much higher in Division Two, where a 73 off 13 handicap was good enough for senior John Nuttall to win both the lowest nett and gross. He finished one shot ahead of Stephen Crook.
Outstanding score of the last two ladies' stablefords was returned by Sue Catton, with 39 points to win Division Two of the July 1 competition, by four from Eileen McCarthy.
Division One went to former English Seniors' player Sue Goodwin, who beat Carolynne Fawcett on countback after both had finished on 36 points.
There was a much smaller entry for the ladies' stableford on June 29, when the divisional winners were Doreen Cummins (first) and Wendy Kemshead.
