LOCAL estate agent Mike Applegate won the Palmer Cup, played in conjunction with the May Medal, at Burnham & Berrow on May 24.
The trophy is awarded to the player who returns the best score of any of the 2007 medal-winners in the May competition.
Twenty-handicapper Applegate carded a nett 74 to win on countback from Brian Colome, who was off six.
