Edinburgh team help Bridgwater celebrate bowls centenary

AS PART of Bridgwater BC's centenary celebrations, they hosted a friendly match against Northern BC, Edinburgh on May 11.

On a glorious day, all 65 in attendance enjoyed a two-course meal, supplied by Margaret Holland with helpers Gay, Doris, Jean, Anne and Theo. Manning the bar were Gillian, Frank and Gordon, while Ron Biddiscombe supplied the musical entertainment.

The visitors made a donation of £72 to Children's Hospice South West, Bridgwater BC's nominated charity for this year.

Bridgwater were at home to a very strong Ilminster team on May 13 in the County/National Two Fours Competition and the visitors took maximum points, winning 45-23.
