The two selected venues for the competition will be Bideford who play at the Sports Ground, Kingsley Road, Bideford and Appledore who play at Churchill Way, Appledore.

Yeovil's official website has explained that the competition will be conducted on a knock-out basis and features clubs drawn from the professional and semi-professional leagues.

The eight clubs to take part in the tournament will be Yeovil, Crystal Palace, Torquay United, Clevedon Town, Eastleigh, Kidderminster Harriers, Bideford and Barnstaple Town.

Visiting clubs are being hosted to the region by the organisers and the Brends Hotel Group and will be located at hotels offering some of the best recreational and fitness facilities available in the region.

Matches will be scheduled for each of the locations with key matches including the final to be staged on Sunday, July 27, at Bideford.

Full details of the teams, fixture dates and match sponsors will be widely available between now and the tournament dates.

The event winner will be awarded the newly donated, perpetual Errea Trophy and medallions will be awarded to all finalists.

Glovers' boss Russell Slade has told Yeovil's official website:"We are very pleased to be invited to take part in this competition and it will form a good part of our pre-season activities.

"Along with other pre-season friendlies this will add a bit of competition to both the players and the clubs involved.

"It's also reasonably close so will not involve too much travelling whilst enabling us to get the team sharp and ready for the new season."

Ticket prices are particularly attractive with the advance supersaver ticket online at £15 which entitles one adult and up to two children entrance to the eight matches.

The final is a separate entrance fee.
