BRIDGWATER are looking to continue their momentum after last weekend's excellent victory as they make the short trip to Taunton St Andrew's on Saturday.

The five-wicket win over reigning champions Clevedon last Saturday ensured Bridgwater sit third in the table going into this weekend's clash against a home side hovering just above the bottom two.

The Saints will be without Tom Banton due to his Somerset commitments.

In Premier 2 Bristol/Somerset, Shapwick & Polden resume their search for a first win of the season as they travel to Weston-super-Mare.

Shapwick picked up a confidence-boosting SCB Major Cup victory in midweek, cruising past Taunton Deane 2nds by 10 wickets after Sean Stringer's 4-11 helped dismiss the Deane for 90.

Wembdon host in-form Wellington in the Somerset Division, while North Petherton welcome Street and the division's game of the day sees second-placed Bridgwater 2nds welcome leaders Frome to The Parks.

Pethy have been knocked out of two cup competitions this week, being beaten by Taunton St Andrew's in Wednesday's Baker Cup semi-final before losing out to Wellington in the SCB Major Cup the following evening.

The Baker Cup game was largely decided by Somerset's Tom Banton, whose rapid century set the Saints on their way to a 35-run win as Pethy, despite a valiant effort with the bat, fell short of chasing 191.
