SOMERSET Women host neighbours Devon this Sunday (June 2, 11am), aiming to end their 50-over campaign on a high.

The Women's County Championship Division 2 match is being played at Taunton Cricket Club (Gipsy Lane).

Somerset are sixth in the Division 2 table, after one win and five defeats - the latter two losses coming over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Middlesex were 32-run winners at Mill Hill School last Sunday, as Kia Super League player Cordelia Griffith smashed 112 off 106 balls for the hosts.

Georgia Tulip finished with 3-28 off 10 overs for Somerset, who had captain Sophie Luff (78no) top scoring in their 214 all out.

On the Monday they went to Worcestershire and lost by four wickets.

Again Luff top scored with 47 in the visitors' 170 all out, and Clare Boycott's 61no helped Worcestershire over the finish line.

Devon sit in fourth place in the standings, after three wins and two losses.

After this match, the teams' attention turns to T20 fixtures, with Somerset hosting Essex on Sunday, June 9.

TOMORROW brings the return of West of England Premier League action, with Taunton St Andrew's looking to build on their first Premier 1 win of the season last weekend.

It will be a tough test for Saints, as they go to third-placed Downend (12.30pm start), but key batsman James Regan should be in confident mood following his 125no against Bristol.

The two unbeaten teams in Premier 2 Bristol/Somerset go head to head, with Taunton Deane hosting North Perrott - both sides having won four from four so far.

Seventh-placed Taunton will look to bounce back from last weekend's defeat at Winterbourne, as they head to Bishopston, who sit fourth.

In the Somerset Division, meanwhile, tomorrow sees Minehead entertain North Petherton, Taunton Deane 2nds go to Yeovil and Wellington at home to Street.
