Somerset County League Division 1
Burnham United 1, Somerton Town 1
BURNHAM United continued their recent good form with a point at home to Somerton Town on Saturday.
A goal from Mike Stevens earned a share of the spoils for United, who have now lost just once in their last eight matches - and that was against champions-elect Mendip Broadwalk.
United have four matches left to play this season, two of which are over the next week.
Burnham make the short trip to Uphill Castle on Saturday before hosting Hengrove Athletic Reserves next Tuesday (6.30pm).
Burnham United Reserves had an exciting Easter weekend in Division 3, winning 4-3 away from home twice in the space of three days.
On Saturday, they travelled to Yatton & Cleeve United Reserves and won by the odd goal in seven thanks to goals from David Keirle (2), Elliot Keen and Loui Jones.
They followed that up with another thrilling victory on Easter Monday, winning by the same scoreline at Somerton Town Reserves - who they host this Saturday (3pm).
Keen was on the scoresheet again, while Curtis Bradshaw contributed a brace and Jaymie Whitehouse also found the target.
United Reserves sit 10th and have games in hand over several of the teams above them.
