IT'S still all to play for.

That was the message from Taunton Town head of football Rob Dray and captain Matt Wright, following their 2-1 win over Kings Langley on Saturday.

Andrew Neal's brace – his 30th and 31st goals of the season – put the Peacocks 2-0 up at half-time, and although Steve Ward pulled one back, the hosts held out for the three points.

On Neal, Wright said: "He's brilliant, and he's a workhorse – he never stops running.

"The quality he's got, it's just outstanding.

"Everybody wants him in their team."

The result takes the Peacocks back above Metropolitan Police into second, five points off leaders Weymouth, after both Met Police and Weymouth lost 1-0.

All in all, it was a fine 28th birthday present for Wright, who added: "I asked for three points for my birthday, and I got it.

"We've always said, if we win our next seven games we'll go up, including the play-offs, and that's still the case now.

"We're still in it; it's a shame where we had our little dip, looking back it was disappointing.

"But we have to look forward and the next game is another cup final for us."

Mirroring those thoughts was boss Dray, who said: "We've just got to keep our heads down and do what we do.

"Two tough games next week, in a short space of time, so let's just play the next game and see what happens."

The Peacocks go to Hendon next Saturday, and then host Merthyr Town on Easter Monday for their final home league game of the season.
