BRIDGWATER & Albion play their final away match of the season tomorrow, when they travel to take on Teignmouth.

Albion ended a run of defeats with a 24-20 win over St Ives last Saturday, with Albion director of rugby commenting: “St Ives are a big side in the forwards, with some really fast and capable backs, and they are very well coached and organised.

“So to win against a team like that is satisfying and a credit to our players.

“We played under a fair bit of pressure throughout the game but we kept our composure, worked really hard in defence and kept probing away in attack to try to find the breakthroughs.”

Albion sit fourth in the South West 1 West table, while Teignmouth, this weekend's opponents, are 12th (third from bottom).

Sluman added: “Teignmouth are our old friends and we do have several links with past coaches and players between the two clubs.

“That also usually makes it a very competitive game as both sides rise to the challenge.”

As for North Petherton, who are fifth and only three points behind Albion after beating Cullompton 41-20 last time out, they have their final home match of 2018/19 tomorrow.

Devonport Services are the visitors to Beggars Brook; they are seventh in the standings but just five points behind Pethy.
