Old Redcliffians 22, Taunton Titans 17

TAUNTON Titans blew a 17-7 lead at half-time as they crashed to a third consecutive loss, away to bottom half side Old Redcliffians on Saturday.

The hosts made the brighter start, going ahead through Aaron Rice's try, which was converted by Ash Groves.

The Titans then got into their rhythm, moving the ball well, and Gary Kingdom crossed for an unconverted score.

Kingdom did add the extras after Barrie-John Chapman crashed over, however, and the score was 12-7.

That was stretched out to a 10-point lead at the break, as Nick Mason cut through to add another try.

But Old Reds turned it around after the interval, Groves landing a penalty and then sending over a kick for Rice to grab his second try and make it 17-15.

With 10 minutes to go Ethan Doyle broke through a number of tackles to cross, and Groves converted.

There was little sign of a recovery from the visitors, who are fifth in the table and now 16 points off the top four.
