BURNHAM United are looking to build on a positive midweek point when they welcome Staplegrove in Division 1 of the Somerset County League on Saturday.

United held high-flying Bridgwater Town Reserves to a goalless draw at Fairfax Park on Wednesday night to take them above Hengrove Athletic Reserves into 13th.

Staplegrove arrive in good form themselves having knocked Premier Division side Watchet Town out of the Premier & First Division Cup last weekend.

Kick-off at Cassis Close is at 3pm.

Burnham United A cruised into the final of the Bob Keyes Cup last weekend with a 4-0 win at Hutton Reserves on Saturday.

Wayne Barrett, Louie Jones, Dax Vincent and Declan Christie scored the goals for United, who will play either Lodway or Selkirk United in the final.

United’s Reserves shared the spoils with their Yatton & Cleeve United counterparts in a 2-2 draw.

Fred Berry and Russell Holley found the net for Burnham, who are without a match this weekend.

Burnham United B return to Weston & District League Division 4 at home to Weston Celtic on Saturday.

Wedmore saw their Division 1 match at Portishead Town A called off last weekend and have no scheduled fixture this Saturday.

Andrew Hael and Joseph Kay were among the scorers as Wedmore Reserves beat Wrington Redhill A in Division 4, in which Huntspill Crowns travel to Clevedon United A on Saturday.
