HAVING consolidated their position in the top five, Bridgwater Town are hoping to keep up the pressure on the four sides above them with victory at Bridport on Saturday.

The Dorset hosts are 13th but pushed the Robins close in a 1-0 Town win at Fairfax Park earlier in the season.

Bridgwater Town player-manager Dave Pearse said: “Bridport are tough and physical. They are down there [in the table] but shouldn’t be – they have good players.

“But we are seven unbeaten now, so we should take confidence from our run and be confident of coming away with a result.”

Bridgwater Town Reserves return to action on Saturday with a trip to Hengrove Athletic Reserves in Division 1 of the Somerset County League.

Mendip Broadwalk drew level with the Robins at the top by winning at the weekend, but Town have a game in hand.

Division 3 leaders Middlezoy Rovers Reserves host Combe St Nicholas.
