BURNHAM United face a crunch game tomorrow, as they welcome fellow strugglers Hengrove Athletic Reserves to Cassis Close (ko 2.30pm).

United are third from bottom, with Hengrove one place and two points above them in the fight for Division 1 survival.

Last Saturday’s trip to leaders Bridgwater Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and has been provisionally re-arranged for Wednesday, March 13.

Wedmore were the only team to play in Division 1 of the Weston-super-Mare & District League on Saturday, running league leaders Nailsea United A close before eventually going down 1-0.

Wedmore, four points adrift at the bottom, do not play this weekend.

Cain Smith’s brace helped Burnham United A to an exciting 4-3 win at fourth-placed Shipham in Division 3.

James Chinnock and Loui Jones scored the other goals for United, who sit 10th and host third-placed Selkirk United on Saturday.

Burnham United B’s Division 4 match at home to Clevedon United A was postponed and they have a free weekend this time around.

Elsewhere in the division, second-placed Huntspill Crowns travel to Wrington Redhill A, who sit 10th.
