THE Avenue Tennis Club has partnered with Performance Plus Sport (PPS) to provide a Community Progression Tennis Programme providing two hours of funded tennis coaching, in three six-week blocks throughout the 2018/19 school year.

The goal is to support young local children and create opportunities for regular tennis at the Avenue Tennis Club.

The sessions are managed by Barry Ramsden, with the coaching provided by the Avenue’s qualified coaches.

The coaching is free of charge and will take place on Monday, from February 25 from 5-6pm (under-9s) and Tuesdays, from February 26 (nine years old and above).

If your child would be interested in attending the second six-week block of tennis coaching course, please contact Barry Ramsden at the Avenue Tennis Club (01278 782758/07749 878581), visit avenuetennis.com or look on the club's Facebook page.

Performance Plus Sport is a charity that was founded and is run by father and son John and James Feaver, both of whom were professional tennis players.

Both have strong links to Avenue Tennis Club and are passionate about supporting the club.
