BRIDGWATER & Taunton College are celebrating after being chosen as an Association of Colleges (AoC) football 'Super Hub'.
They are one of just 22 colleges from across the country to have been selected for an initiative which, in partnership with the FA, has been formed to demonstrate the excellence and innovation of the FE sector’s football and futsal.
The college will gain first access to pilot projects and innovation sessions to support the development of the game, as well as the opportunity to apply for further funding.
Each 'Super Hub' will have opportunity to showcase their strengths within the following areas: Women & Girls, Participation, Performance, Workforce, Community, while learning from one another to strive for continuous improvement.
Mason Galloway, sports development manager, said: "Our selection as a football Super Hub will further enhance the college’s existing football offer to students and the wider community.
"Together with our brand new 3G sports pitch facility, this partnership with the FA and AoC will provide fantastic opportunities to players that they would not be able to access anywhere else locally.”
