WITH Taunton Town set for a weekend off, match-going supporters looking for their football fix could head to Bishops Lydeard for their Western League First Division clash at home to Radstock Town (3pm).

Lydeard were edged out by Oldland Abbotonians last weekend in an entertaining match which ended 3-2 to the visitors, leaving Lydeard 15th in the table.

Saturday's visitors Radstock are 17th, meaning the hosts can put some breathing space between themselves and the sides below them with three points this weekend.

In the Premier Division, Wellington - who picked up a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Hallen last time out - are on the road to Buckland Athletic.

Tangerines boss Clive Jones said: "I have players coming back from injuries, holidays and work commitments, so will only be missing one on Saturday.

“It’s hard to cope with four or five missing; now we have a good base to work from in training.

“I know a lot of Buckland’s players, they have top individuals and they can beat anyone in the league.

“But they’re inconsistent and certainly beatable.”

In the Somerset County League, Staplegrove travel to Keynsham Town Reserves in Division 1.
