WEST Buckland-based trainer Alex Dunn continued her rich vein of form of recent weeks, on another hugely exciting afternoon of National Hunt action at Taunton Racecourse last Thursday.

Over the last few days, the Dunn stable has chalked up four winners, the shortest price of which was 11-2, and one second place.

On Thursday, Sam Twiston-Davies steered Envole Toi, a 25-1 shot horse owned by Sir Peter Austin (a steward at Taunton), to a popular victory in the second race.

The Dunn yard followed this up with a 25-1 second place in the next, when Richie McLernon rode Truckers Tangle, on the horse’s first outing for more than 400 days.

Regarding her run of good form, the local trainer said: “Everything is going well at the moment and our horses are red hot.

“Everybody is having a lot of fun with our runners, so hopefully people will want to get involved with one of our syndicates."
