JACK Leach bowled the final over of the third day as England tightened their grip on the first Test with Sri Lanka in Galle.
That was the Somerset spinner's only involvement on a day dominated by the England batsmen, particularly Lancashire's Keaton Jennings.
Jennings ended with 146 as the tourists declared on 322-6, giving them a lead of 461.
The opener's second Test century came with support from Ben Stokes (62), Taunton-born Jos Buttler (35) and first innings hero Ben Foakes (37).
Sri Lanka's Dilruwan Perera took 2-94 and Rangana Herath (in his final Test appearance) 2-59.
The tourists then saw out the final seven overs of the day, to reach 15-0, during which time England used five different bowlers.
Moeen Ali was the most expensive, conceding seven runs, while Leach gave up two.
England now have two days to pick up the 10 wickets required for victory, while Sri Lanka would need to pull off the highest fourth-innings run chase in Test history in order to win.
Having claimed 2-41 in the hosts' first innings, Leach will hope to play a major part in his side's push towards the finish line.
