QUAYSIDE Trampoline & Gymnastics Club took a team of 37 juniors to Bath University on Sunday, October 21, to compete in the first regional trampoline competition of the 2018/19 season.

It was a great competition for Quayside, with several members competing for the first time and the team coming away with seven gold medals, six silver and one bronze.

Eighty per cent of the team were successful over their two routines, with 63 per cent of the team achieving the qualifying score required to be eligible for selection to the South West team for the regional team finals in March 2019.

The gold medal winners were Braxton Fear (TRA Club 3 - Men 7-8), Harry Marshall (TRA Level 1 - Men 7-8), William March Munro (TRA Level 4 - Men 13+), Harvey Trentham (TRA Level 5 - Men 11-12), Morgan Boddington (TRA Level 5 - Women 11-12) and Joel Arlotte (TRA OPEN - Men 9-10), while the Quayside team won gold in the TRA Level 5 - Women 11-12 category.

Silvers were clinched by Elodie Woods (TRA Club 3 - Women 9-10), Thomas Marshall (TRA Level 1 - Men 7-8), Connor Harding (TRA Level 6 - Men 15-16), Luke Jowett (TRA OPEN - Men 13-14) and Dale Edwards (TRA OPEN - Men 9-10), plus the TRA Club 3 - Women 9-10 team.

Alannah Taylor took bronze in the TRA Level 5 - Women 11-12 section.

The coaches are very proud of the gymnasts, who are now training towards the South West Championships in December.
