LUCY Shuker is still awaiting her first Grand Slam title, after losing out in her fourth Wimbledon final on Sunday.
Taunton-trained Shuker, 38, made it to her first Grand Slam final in five years as she partnered Sabine Ellerbrock of Germany to the ladies’ wheelchair doubles final by beating Marjolein Buis and Aniek van Koot yesterday.
Having knocked out the second seeds, Shuker and Ellerbrock were looking to spring another surprise against the top ranked pairing - Diede de Groot (Netherlands) and Yui Kamiji (Japan).
But the favourites showed their class, easing to a 6-1 6-1 victory on Court 3 at SW19.
Kamiji now has five consecutive ladies’ wheelchair doubles titles to her name.
