RUNNING Forever are in awe of a couple of members, Peter Hall and Martin Webb, who completed the 190-mile Northern Traverse Race.

Following the Wainwright route, this epic crosses three National Parks and is totally self-navigated.

Starting at St Bees at 8am on Saturday, the determined pair planted their feet on the sand of Robin Hood’s Bay at 6pm on Wednesday.

They were greeted by fish and chips, a pint of beer... and a finishers’ sprint race!

Several other members took on Ultras this weekend.

Ed Bailey completed his first 100-miler at the West Country Hilly in 33 hours 45.

Taking the 50-mile option were Jules Griffiths Jones (below), third lady in 12:49, and Adrian Edwards (13:02).

Lynn Cunningham completed the Centurion North Downs 50-miler.
Six members took on the Town Tree Trail 10k on Wednesday night; Ali Bissat finished in 42:25, Ben Timpson 43:09, Gavin Clegg 50:5, Sally Tuer 53:32, and Phil Wilson and Sandra Williams in 70 minutes.

Ray Tutton made the trip to Liverpool and completed a hot marathon course in 3:50, with Lucy Spring opting for the Half and posting 2:18, while Trevor Stow ran the Great Manchester 10k in 01:15.

Goff and Cathie Welchman kept it local by running the Padbrook Plod, a hilly five-mile event, finishing in 52 and 59 minutes, respectively.

It was also a Tri-ing weekend for many, as Nadine Prowse completed the Outlaw 70.3 in 7:38, and Heather Pearce and Lee Macklin finished the Grafman Middle Distance event in 5:32 and 6:48, respectively.

Eliza Brodie completed the Taunton Deane triathlon, while Tanya Lewis was the third lady finisher in the Tiverton Sprint Tri.

There were Parkrun tourists in the likes of Killerton, Humber Bridge, Rushcliffe and Chipping Sodbury, while 39 members were at Longrun Meadow, John Allaway notching up his 50th run.
