LAST Saturday night brought three bouts for Sydenham ABC boxers.

First up was Kieran Smith in Yeovil and he attacked from the bell, catching his opponent off guard and giving him a standing eight count.

Round two was more competitive and in round three Smith continued with great pressure and landed the more accurate shots, but Smith didn’t get the nod in a controversial decision.

Next was George Scutt, who was positive from the off, gaining ground in each round in a clear win.

Finally, Lewis Scutt took on Billy Stanbury.

Both boxers landed powerful blows and moving expertly around the ring, but Scutt was just edged out.

Lewis Scutt said: “That was me and George’s last fights for Sydenham ABC.

“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at the club for all their hard work with me.

“I started boxing six-and-a-half years ago; 41 fights later I’ve learnt a serious amount and had some great experiences.”
