BURNHAM United are hoping to reverse their poor recent run of form as they travel to Glastonbury on Saturday.

One point from a possible 18 since the turn of the year has seen United drop to ninth, though they will leapfrog their opponents in the table with victory tomorrow.

There is cup action elsewhere, as Wedmore host Locking Park in the quarter-final of the Atwell Memorial Shield and Burnham United A welcome Cheddar A in the Vardon Cup.

In the rugby, Burnham RFC play their final home match as a Western Counties (W) side against Truro.

The hosts have won just three games all season, but captain Ross McKechan is confident they can go out with a bang in front of their own supporters.

"They've got a long way to come and we gave them a good game at their place earlier in the season," he said.

"We've been training hard and we have to be ready to tear into them."
