LAST weekend was another frustrating one for the region’s football teams, with only Wedmore surviving the inclement weather conditions which continue to decimate fixture lists.
The Weston & District Division 1 side drew 2-2 at home to third-placed Sporting Weston to stay comfortably in mid-table.
This weekend, Burnham United and Berrow & Highbridge are both without matches in Division One West of the Somerset County League - in fact, Burnham don’t play again until February 28 at Street Reserves.
Burnham United Reserves host unbeaten league leaders AFC Brislington in Division 2, while Wedmore Reserves host Yatton & Cleeve United B in the Bob Keyes Cup for Weston & District League Division 5 teams.
On Sunday, Berrow Ladies make the short trip to Somerset Women’s League Division 1 pace-setters Weston AFC Women.
The hosts have 31 points from a possible 33 so far this season, while Berrow are second bottom.
