GOALS from Aaron Deeks and Tom Sparks gave Watchet Town victory over Clutton on Saturday.

The result took them up to second in the table, nine points behind leaders Chilcompton Sports with a game in hand.

Minehead AFC 3, Glastonbury 2

MINEHEAD twice came from behind to eventually claim a league double over their opponents in an end-to-end contest.

Glastonbury went ahead after just four minutes when former Minehead player Simon Lock reacted to a loose ball inside the six-yard box, nodding over Nathan Sheehan.

Chances came and went for the Blues, but two minutes before half time, the referee spotted a tug on Harry Scratchard and Stefan Phillips scored from the penalty spot.

Glastobury were back ahead within seconds of the restart, Ru Kellett pouncing on a loose pass to score, but soon it was 2-2 as Rob Vickers' cross eluded everyone and crept in at the far post.

Guy Burns won it for the hosts with eight minutes left, beating two defenders and netting from 15 yards out, with the Blues' sixth win in seven games putting them above their opponents into seventh position.

Minehead do not have a game this weekend; they host Clevedon United Reserves on January 13.
