BRIDGWATER Town co-manager Karl Baggaley hailed his side after their latest win, saying “the vibe around the whole club is positive”.

On Saturday’s 4-0 Les Phillips Cup victory over Chipping Sodbury Town, he said: “It was a complete team performance, which was especially pleasing given we made a few changes.

“Jack Jenkins came back in and was man of the match, Jack Taylor returned with a couple of goals and Josh White slotted back into the defence.

“Jack [Taylor]’s second goal summed him up – there is never a lost cause with him on the field.”

Baggaley was also pleased to reward the home fans, who have been starved of matches at Fairfax Park of late.

“This season has been all about getting smiles back on faces, so it’s satisfying that we’ve been able to do that in recent weeks,” he said.

“I’ve been saying to the boys that a good run will get us back in the top half, which has now happened, and the squad we’ve got are more than capable of building on that and finishing even higher up.”

Town are back in action tonight (Tuesday) at basement side Longwell Green, who have picked up just one point so far.

“Despite not getting the results they have been competitive, so we won’t be taking it lightly at all,” Baggaley said.

Saturday then sees a re-match against Chipping Sodbury, who make their second visit to Fairfax Park in the space of seven days.

This weekend’s clash is in the league, and Town will be without Ryan Burrows.
