YEOVIL Town Ladies face local rivals Bristol City Women at Taunton Town FC's Viridor Stadium tomorrow (Wednesday, ko 7.45pm).

It sees both teams looking for their first victory in the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup group stage this campaign, with the sides having only one win between them all season - Bristol beating the Lady Glovers 1-0 in September.

And defeat for either side will see them unable to qualify for the knockout stages, so there is plenty at stake as well as local bragging rights.

The Viridor Stadium has hosted Yeovil matches already this year - the Spring Series encounters with Bristol City (lost 3-2) and Arsenal Ladies (lost 5-1).

The Lady Glovers have put in an application to remain a top tier side for the 2018/19, despite having expressed concern at the speed at which the FA requires clubs to become full-time in order to stay at the elite level of English women's football.

This submission involves their work with educational partners Bridgwater & Taunton College, and "plans to engage with 20,000 children in the 2018/19 season".

Tickets for Wednesday's Yeovil Town Ladies v Bristol City Women match cost £7 for adults and £3 for children/concessions.
