WELLINGTON travel to Bridport tomorrow night (Wednesday, ko 7.45pm), following their second successive 2-1 loss on Saturday.

It follows a 1-0 defeat at home to Westbury United on Saturday, Joe Kirkpatrick scoring the only goal, to leave Lydeard 19th in the table with three points from four games.

Reflecting on the Westbury loss, manager Brett Andrews said: "It was a disappointing result against opposition sitting second in the league, but on a positive note Lydeard dominated the game for 35 minutes, once again creating several good chances before conceding to a breakaway goal.

"We played some great football and really deserved something out of the game.

"It was another solid all-action display from Zak Ryder, with Ben Hebditch being man of the match.

"We are away to Sherborne on Wednesday and hopefully the lads continue to give the same attitude and commitment, and then they will get their rewards."

IN Somerset County League Division 1 West, Minehead picked up their first victory of the season away to Glastonbury on Saturday.

The visitors started well and led on 25 minutes, as Rob Vickers released Guy Burns, who slammed the ball home.

Midway through the second half, however, Sean Meade was adjudged to have fouled Sam Mullins, and Jack Clift netted the penalty to equalise.

The Blues were not deterred, though, and they scored the winner with 12 minutes to go - again from the penalty spot, with Stefan Phillips scoring his 10th straight spot-kick for Minehead after Burns was bundled over.

Minehead are without a midweek fixture, so their next match is at home to Yatton & Cleve United on Saturday (ko 3pm).
