DANIELLE Waterman scored two tries as England eased past Italy in their second pool match at the Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland.

The Somerset star was again named at full-back for the Red Roses, and after England had led 22-8 at half time, she scored a second-half brace to help her side to a 56-13 victory.

Her first try - and England's seventh - came on 55 minutes, as she received the ball on the left and showed good strength to wriggle through several Italian players to score.

Her second - the Red Roses' eighth - arrived nine minutes later, as she received the ball from Katy Mclean, dummied the defender, and strolled in under the posts.

England's final pool match will be the decisive one, as they take on the USA - who have also won both their games - on Thursday (August 17), with the match live on ITV4.
