TAUNTON Town have added a sixth new signing ahead of next season, with striker Lewis Powell returning to the club after departing Mangotsfield United.
Last season he scored 32 league goals for the Peacocks' Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West rivals (who finished eighth in the table, 10 points off the playoffs).
I would like to thank all who supported me during my time @MangotsfieldUtd Best wishes for the future. My time is done #AllTheBest

Before that, he had scored 23 goals for Taunton in the 2015/16 season, having joined the Peacocks in the December of that campaign.
Now making his return to the Viridor Stadium, Powell joins Ben Adelsbury, Les Afful, Ryan Brett, Arran Pugh (all from Truro) and Chris McGrath (from Bideford) in signing for Leigh Robinson's squad.
With those additions, and Lloyd Irish, Shane White and Matt Wright agreeing to stay (with more extensions expected to follow), the Peacocks look well placed for a strong promotion challenge after more playoff heartache last season.
