BRIDGWATER & Albion are back in league action for the first time in a fortnight as they host high-flying Clevedon on Saturday (ko 3pm) at College Way, writes Richard Walsh.
The Albion came off second best when the two sides met in the semi-final of the Somerset Cup at Weston-super-Mare last week, so they know what to expect from the play-off chasing side.
Looking ahead to the game, Albion head coach Simon Morrell said: “We know Clevedon are a tough side so will have to be absolutely on top of our game on Saturday if we are to get the result that we want.
“However, this time it is a league game, and we will be welcoming back several players from injury, including Rob Allen.
“In addition to that we will have home advantage, so the crowd will be very much on our side, which is always a great help to the team.
Morrell added: “After losing our last two games the boys won’t need any motivation for this fixture, so I am expecting a big game from everyone.”
Clevedon, who go into the weekend in second place, are coached by Nick Hill, who was formerly with the Albion.
He is not the only familiar face, as the north Somerset side are likely to include several former Albion players, including Tom Thie, Ben Purcell and Owen Biggins.
